Attention 8th grade parents/guardians
Last night the SHS Counselors held an informational meeting for 8th graders and their parents/guardians. Below is a link to the Class of 2024 presentation. Also included below is a link to the SHS Program of Studies 2020/2021 which contains course descriptions and complete information regarding graduation requirements.

Program of Studies
The scheduling window will open on February 10th and close on February 17th. Students will be scheduling their SHS classes during their science class on Monday 2/10 (Pirates & Vanguards) or Tuesday 2/11 (Dragons & Crusaders). Parents are strongly encouraged to communicate with their child in regards to course choices, as parent input is valuable in this process. Instructions for accessing the online portal for scheduling start on slide #25 of the Class of 2024 presentation.

Rockin at the Rec
Our next Rockin at the Rec is February 14th at the Strongsville rec center from 6:30-9. Dance is for grades 6,7 and 8. Tickets will be sold at the door they are $10 each.

Mustang Color Guard Clinic
Learn how to spin the Flag for Marching Band before HS auditions. You do not need to be a musician to spin a FLAG Participants will learn proper technique, skills, movements and combinations. Students in grades 7th thru 11th are encouraged to attend to learn skills before auditions in March.
Auditions in March are open to incoming 9th graders thru 11th. The clinic is not mandatory in order to audition.

College Credit Plus
Ohio’s College Credit Plus program allows qualified students in grades 7-12 to earn college and high school credits at the same time by taking college courses from community colleges or universities. College admission requirements apply to all students participating in the CCP program (based on college readiness in one or more subject areas).
If you are interested in learning more about the College Credit Plus program for the 2020/2021 school year, it is HIGHLY recommended that both students and parents attend the CCP meeting. The CCP meeting will be on February 11th at 6:30PM in the Strongsville High School Auditorium.
