Check In & Attend Your Huddle at 8:30 or 10:30!
It's the 2nd week of new check in times! Last week it really helped us have enough time to get face time with one another, get checked in, and be ready to have all of our rooms open with volunteers when kids start to check in!
This Sunday, BEFORE you go to serve in your KidSpring environment you'll check in where you typically attend huddle and receive a white volunteer sticker that you'll wear along with your lanyard. You must have this sticker before you can be in a KidSpring environment.
Huddles are so important because each team will be training on the new policies that you received in your email two weeks ago so that you're equipped to serve!
- 9:15 Volunteers- You'll meet at 8:30
- 11:15 Volunteers- You'll meet at 10:30
Week 5: Worship God
It's our last week of The Great Outdoors series! I really believe that kids have grown so much in their friendship with God as we've shared these concepts each week. And I think we've been able to grow too as we've asked the Lord to do this in ourselves first!
This week we're teaching kids what it looks like to worship God as we study Psalm 63. I was reading it in The Passion Translation and wanted to share:
I’m energized every time I enter
your heavenly sanctuary to seek more of your power
and drink in more of your glory.
For your tender mercies mean more to me than life itself.
How I love and praise you, God!
Daily I will worship you passionately and with all my heart.
My arms will wave to you like banners of praise.
I overflow with praise when I come before you,
for the anointing of your presence satisfies me like nothing else.
You are such a rich banquet of pleasure to my soul.
I lie awake each night thinking of you
and reflecting on how you help me like a father.
I sing through the night under your splendor-shadow,
offering up to you my songs of delight and joy!
With passion I pursue and cling to you.
Because I feel your grip on my life,
I keep my soul close to your heart.
We've been talking about some resources that may be helpful for us as we're intentionally seeking God first:
- Bible App- Find different versions of the Bible, reading plans, or audio!
- Read Scripture- This has Bible in a year plan, with some really helpful videos from the guys at the Bible Project!
- Bible In One Year- This is another great audio option with commentaries.
- Blue Letter Bible- I'm a big fan of the dictionaries & concordances in this one if you're looking for some study tools.
- NewSpring Prayer Guide- This is a 27 day prayer guide, but we also have lots of reading plans & devotionals on the site & app.
- Right Now Media- think Netflix for Bible Studies! You get a free account through our church.
- The Bible Recap Podcast- This is a great 5 minute daily podcast that goes along with a chronological bible in a year reading plan.
Thank You for Sharing!
I have been so encouraged & in awe of the Lord as I've been reading all the ways you guys are growing in your friendships with him. He is so near to each of you and it's been building my faith too!
If you haven't shared yet, please do! And check out what your other friends are saying that might be so helpful for you!
