Committee Meeting Updates:

Health Enhancement Collaboration: See PIR opportunities under Upcoming Trainings.

Next Meeting will be January 8, 2019

Science: The meeting on Nov. 6th focused on various types of science assessments, including developing performance assessments reviewing released CRT items. We also completed a common 8th grade lab, which will be piloted by several teachers on the committee before being released to the whole co-op for implementation. Finally, we compiled web resources. Encourage your teachers to sign up for the Kirk Robbins sessions on April 4th & 5th. This will wrap up a productive three-year review process for science!

Social Studies: Our Nov. 13th meeting included a half day session on making social studies relevant, grade band discussions, as well as a chance to preview curriculum materials from Pearson, TCI, and Discovery (6-12). It was a great day and we are looking forward to our next meeting on Jan. 29th, when we will hear about the MT Historical Society, connect with OPI staff, and begin to articulate grade level expectations. Sessions with publishers are still being scheduled.

I wish you all very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
