February 2018

Have you been looking for a reason to clean out your classroom?

Are you coming to the CLTA Quest for Proficiency or know someone who is? Then start cleaning up and clearing out in preparation for the Mariachi Mingle and Material Swap!

When: Friday, March 9, 2018

7:30-9:00pm

Where: Room TBA

What: Mingle and meet with colleagues across the state while enjoying light snacks, a no-host bar, and Mariachi music by the band Mariachi Rio Verde. Door prizes will be given away. You must be present to win.

Material Swap: Do you have gently used posters and other classroom resources that you’d like to recycle to another teacher who will use them? Bring your materials and resources to the Mariachi Mingle and leave on the tables provided. While you’re at the Mariachi Mingle you can “shop” the tables for materials you can add to your resources. Pick up new gently used materials while you’re there. At the end of the conference all materials still left will be donated to the Cal State San Bernardino Foreign Language Methods class so that beginning teachers have some materials to start with. (Note- due to space limitations, we are unable to hold materials for you, you will need to bring them to the Mariachi Mingle yourself.)
