High School Highlights
Weekly Updates from Big Walnut High School
Week of January 10, 2021
We're here! After all the months of planning and anticipation, we welcomed students into the new Big Walnut High School building last week with great success! Students were able to quickly navigate the building and were excited to see all the opportunities and possibilities of this new home. As with any significant change there are always a few hiccups along the way and we appreciate your patience as we navigate through those.
Please remember that our second quarter and semester grades will be live in PowerSchool on Tuesday, January 11. Additionally, our Academic Boosters will meet Monday evening at 6:30 in the Academic Commons and we would love to see you there!
As always, please don't hesitate to reach out to your child's teachers, school counselor or the administration if you have any questions or concerns. Feel free to contact the main office at 740-965-3766 between the hours of 7:00 and 3:15.
Attention parents of the classes 2023, 2024, 2025 & 2026:
Please mark your calendars! February will begin the kick off for College Credit Plus for next year. College Credit Plus, or CCP, is a program where students can take college courses while still in high school and the courses count for both college and high school credit.
On February 2nd there will be a virtual opportunity to have a live-online presentation from local colleges. On February 3rd we will hold our virtual Big Walnut kick-off with an opportunity to pick up the paperwork for CCP during parent-teacher conferences. Links and detailed information will be coming as the dates approach.
There are some new and exciting opportunities, so be on the lookout for this information.
