Science Fair
Just a few friendly reminders, all science fair projects are due tomorrow. All 3rd students are required to complete a project while 1st and 2nd graders have the option to do a project. Judging will take place during the school day tomorrow. We will have a family night Monday, February 8th at 6:30. At this time, we will present awards and recognize students. We would encourage all of you to come and view the wonderful projects.
Valentine Parties
Valentine Parties are scheduled for 1:15 on Friday, February 12th. Please keep in mind that teachers are still carrying on with lesson and instructional activities up until party time.
Due this Week
-We will be doing Valentine Snacks for the District Office staff again this year....they absolutely love it. It is our way to spread a little love. Please help us show some love....it does not have to be desserts....a snack of your choice. There is still time to sign up.
-Grades are coming up due for interims.....make sure you have plenty. We will extend the deadline from 2/9 to 2/12.
-February 15th and March 11th will be a make-up day. Please add to your websites.
-Show some love to the writing boards and make sure that you have work displayed.
-Also take some time to show some love to your bulletin boards, we will have parents/guests on Friday. Work should be standards based and relevant.
What's Going on in Classrooms at BSE
I was able to walk around and chat with some of these 1st graders as they were working....and they all could tell me exactly what they were working on. Not only were they "Learning by Doing" but they were able to "Talk the Talk". Can all students talk the talk as to what they are learning? How do you know they can? In upcoming observations, look for us to have more conversations with students.....
