ROARING NEWS...Summer 2021

Dear Lemira Elementary School Family,

As principal of Lemira Elementary, it is a pleasure to begin our journey together as we work to prepare our students for their future. As we continue to embrace our theme, “HAPPY Lions: Creating College and Career Ready Leaders while Having a Positive and Productive Year”, we will continue to focus on building learners and student leaders that are academically, socially, and emotionally prepared.

The pandemic has caused many things to shift in both our professional and personal lives. However, one thing remains true, our staff is dedicated to providing the best possible environment for our students and school community. As your new leader, it will be my purpose to Lead with Intention and Optimism while Nurturing Success, for we are the LIONS!

Collaboration with our students, parents, and community stakeholders will be essential as we forge forward into the 2021-2022 school year. We look forward to the feedback, participation in family and community events, and the key roles each of our stakeholders will play in the success of Lemira Elementary.

We are the Lions, and we ROAR with pride! #SumterStrong

With Lion Pride,

Mrs. Stephanie Gregg, Ed.S

The Sumter School district is where it all began. From entering the doors of Lemira Elementary as a Pre-K student to walking across the stage as a Sumter High graduate, my foundation has been successfully molded by many inspiring educators of the district. I am proud to belong to a district who has played a major role in my life.

I am Stephanie Gregg, a mother of three and wife. I have two sons, Mason and Evan. And, I have one daughter, Kamille. I am married to Willis Gregg. I attended Lander University and graduated with a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education. I went on to pursue my Masters in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis on the Creative Arts from Lesley University. My next degree obtained was an Educational specialist in administration/leadership (Ed.s) from Cambridge College.

I taught at both the elementary and middle school levels in both Augusta, GA and Columbia, SC. I worked as an instructional coach and assistant principal at the elementary, middle, and high school levels, while also working as a transformation coach at the South Carolina Dept of Education.

I look forward to my journey as principal of Lemira Elementary. #LionPride
