Counselors from Concord Middle School visited with thier future miners sharing information about the school, academics, extra curricular clubs and activities, athletics and much more!

General Information
- We will be working on creating a module in CANVAS on Tuesday. Please bring a unit that you would like to work on along with your laptop.
- Our volunteer breakfast will be Thursday 4/21. Please make sure that you sign up to bring an item on the spreadsheet in the workroom.
- We will be having a beautification day on Saturday 4/23 from 9:00-11:00. Information will be sent home to students on Thursday.
- We will be offering tours to STEM families on 4/25 from 6:00-7:00 and 4/27 from 9:30-10:30. We had to change the daytime tour due to our PBIS SET being on 4/26. If you would like to help with our evening time please let me know. **We will not be interrupting your instruction on 4/27.**
- Due to not having enough funds set aside, Kristen Basalice will only be with us in the STEM lab through the end of April. Patti Freeman will be taking her place in May so that students can continue to have STEM lab as a part of their rotation.
- Field day will be Thursday, June 2 with a rain date of Friday, June 3.
Safe Schools Training
Module 3 "Back Injury and Lifting" of the required safe schools training will be due by Friday, May 6. Please follow the directions below if you have not already completed the module. Remember that ALL staff members are required to complete this.
- Click on this link.
- Log in using your Timekeeper ID (The first number you use to log into Timekeeper)
- Click on the blue box that says “View More Courses”
- Go to the blue bar that says “Environmental” and click on the course “Back Injury & Lifting”.
- Click on “Full Course” and then "Accept" to be registered for the course.
- Watch all videos and take the quiz (10 True-False questions and you must get 8 correct to pass). You may take as many quiz sessions as needed to pass)
JDRF
Our JDRF kickoff will be Monday at 2:15 in the gym. Below are ways that we are fundraising for this great cause.
- If a staff member donates $20, you will be able to wear jeans every Wednesday through the end of the school year.
- If a staff member donates $10, you will be able to wear jeans for the two weeks of the fundraiser.
- Students will have an opportunity to purchase a paper sneaker every morning. For every sneaker that they purchase they will be entered into a raffle for Carowinds tickets.
- Students can pay $1 each day the week of 4/18-22 to participate in the Fun Dress-Up Days. Monday will be pajama day. Tuesday will be hat day. Wednesday will be crazy sock day. Thursday will be crazy hair day. Friday will be RBM spirit wear/sports day.
- Students will walk on 4/22. K-2 will walk from 2:20-2:35 and 3-5 will walk from 2:35-2:50.
