Dear Woodin Community,
Wow! Students and teachers have sure had a busy fall and so much learning and growth has already taken place. I hope that you see evidence of this learning and growth on your child’s progress report and during parent-teacher conferences.
It’s the time of year to reflect on those things for which we are most grateful. I am so grateful for the opportunity to continue to serve as your principal. I appreciate our students for their joy for learning and consistent effort, for the kindness and friendship they demonstrate toward one another, and for the genuine greetings they share with me each day. I appreciate our staff for their commitment to providing the very best learning activities and environment, for their willingness to support one another as they strive to meet the needs of each and every child, and for their efforts to continue learning themselves. I am so thankful for our wonderful parent community, who generously share their time to volunteer, give financial support to our amazing PTA programs, and have high expectations for their children’s learning, behavior, and treatment of others. Every day, it is a joy to come to work with such amazing students and staff, and to share such a positive partnership with our parent community. On behalf of the Woodin staff, thank you for all you do to support your child’s learning, the teachers and the entire school.
Best wishes for a warm and wonderful Thanksgiving!
In Partnership,
Dawn Bowers

Weekly Covid Case Update
The Department of Health (DOH) requires schools to inform families and students about COVID-19 case numbers and potential outbreaks. This week, there were a total of 1 confirmed case at our school. The accuracy of our data depends on self-reporting. Thank you for continuing to let the school know if your child tests positive for COVID-19. To view additional information, including school and district trends visit the District’s COVID-19 data dashboard. The dashboard is updated weekly on Monday evenings.
If your child is exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19 keep them home and test for COVID-19. Families can order free COVID-19 tests from the state. Together, we can keep our schools healthy and safe.
If your child is home sick or in isolation, they can access zoom classes here: Isolation Learning Support
