Mount Sacred Heart Catholic School

August 21, 2020 Newsletter

Eagle Family,

I hope this newsletter finds you well. We have had a fantastic first week of school. We cannot be more proud of our students, families, faculty, and staff. Everyone has done a fantastic job kicking off our new year.

In this newsletter, you will find two very important documents. One, the Parent-Student Handbook for the 2020 - 2021 school year, and second, the Addendum to the Handbook. We ask you to please take the time to read these documents. Please know that these documents will be provided in the Parent Portal in our FACTS system.

For ALL our students both face to face and virtual - Keep an eagle eye out for an email from Mrs. Samuels or Mrs. Martinez, our Distance Learning Specialists, they will be sending out your student’s personal login information and sharing a presentation on how to use their new technology.

Montessori Virtual Learners and Kindergarten Virtual learners - your technology will be ready for pick up tomorrow, Saturday, August 22nd from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. If you cannot attend please email Mrs. Samuels to find an alternate time.

Wednesday, August 26th our students will be attending mass for the first time this school year. We are blessed to welcome Father David Ullrich as our new priest. Father David has served our community through the years so he may be familiar to many. A special fact, Father David graced these hallways when he was a student here at Mount. We are truly blessed to have him come back to serve our community. You will find a mass schedule including feast days in this newsletter and in your Parent Portal.

Morning Care and After School Care - If you are choosing to have your student attend either morning care, after school care, or both, the 2020 - 2021 Extended Day Program registration form is included in this newsletter and in your Parent Portal. Please either email Mrs. Zamora or send your child with a copy by Monday, August 24th. If your child is attending after school care, please send them with a snack labeled for after school care as we will not be provided a snack at the moment. Also, please feel free to send your after school care student with a personal toy, or personal gaming device to use. Please note these are sent at your own risk and must only be used during after school care time. Thank you so very much for your understanding.

*Should you have any issues opening any of the documents below in this newsletter visit the Parent Portal in FACTS.

Thank you all for your continued support, love, and prayers. Have a blessed weekend.
