A College Access Advisor from Great Lakes will be presenting on College Affordability and Financial Aid.
The same presentation will be presented to Fondy students during Cardinal Time on the 15th. Please sign up with Mrs. Schatzinger in Student Services if interested.

FAFSA Videos Presented by the Department of Education
ATTENTION FAMILIES OF JUNIORS AND SENIORS!
These are videos of informational sessions presented by the Department of Education:
FSA ID - Resources for Assisting Students, Parents, and Borrowers to Create and Use an FSA ID
Session Description: This session shared how to create an FSA ID as well as which sites it could be used. This session covered how to use the self-service feature for common issues, such as locked accounts, forgotten username and passwords; as well addressed common user errors associated with the FSA ID.
FAFSA® Application Processing and Verification Update
Session Description: This session provided an overview of changes to the 2016-17 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and related application processing updates.
Scholarships
Project Yellow Light Hunter Garner Scholarship

This scholarship is for high school juniors, high school seniors, and college students who will be attending school through July 2015. To apply for this scholarship, applicants must create and submit a video designed to motivate, persuade, and encourage teens to not drive distracted. In addition to a scholarship, the winning video will be turned into an Ad Council PSA and will be distributed nationally to 1,600 TV stations. Applicants may apply in teams, but no more than four per team. Please refer to the Official Rules on the website for more details and information about this scholarship.
Courageous Persuaders Competition

This competition is for high school students in grades 9 through 12. To apply, applicants must create a TV commercial targeted to middle school students to warn them about the dangers of underage drinking or the dangers of texting while driving. Emphasis is placed on concept and the message, not on production values. See website for complete details.
Abbott & Fenner Scholarship

This scholarship is for high school juniors and seniors as well as students currently registered at an accredited college or university. To qualify, applicants must submit an essay discussing their educational career and life goals.

Fun with Sandi Paws
Dear UBMS'rs,
Join Sandi Paws Rescue at the Forest Mall on Saturday, December 19th from 11-3 for their adoption event.
They will be in a vacant store on the Kohl's end of the mall. They will need help walking dogs since the exit will be a little ways away.
Thank you in advance for your help. UBMS has been a Godsend to Sandi Paws Rescue!

Tutoring Reminders
Come Prepared!
Students that are required to attend tutoring, must attend one hour of tutoring a week, but welcome to stay longer. Missed sessions must be made up during other weeks of the month or will be counted as an unexcused absence, resulting in a stipend deduction.
