Lysosomes
Lysosomes- Function
A lysosome is a specialized part of a cell known as an organelle. The main functions of lysosomes are to get rid of virus and bacteria, digest food particles and other damaged organelles, and help patch the cell wall membrane.
A lysosome functions similar to a garbage disposal, because a garbage disposal grinds all of the unwanted food and gets rid of it.
A lysosome acts like a vacuum cleaner, because a vacuum cleaner picks up all of the unwanted dirt, dust, and anything else that is on the ground that you don't want.
A lysosome also acts like a garbage truck because, garbage trucks take all of the unwanted things that you are throwing away and gets rid of them for you.
Lysosomes look like mentos, because lysosomes are round and so are mentos.
They also look like a sphere, because both a sphere and a lysosome are round in shape.
