CHECKING GRADES ONLINE
Vocabulary Website to Help at Home
3rd Grade Subtracting Practice At Home:
https://helpingwithmath.com/subtraction-with-regrouping/
*This website has regrouping, which we will get into next week, but is great with strategies and support.
Make sure you are talking with your child about friendly numbers and knowing their addition and subtraction facts. When they see 6 + 5, you can practice talking to them about the 5+5 relationship.
You can also let your child pay for items when you are out and ask them how much money they should be getting back.
3rd Grade ENERGY Resources and Ideas to Practice at Home for Science:
Go on an energy scavenger hunt around the house! Ask your child to identify the different types of energies you use at home!
3rd Grade Homework and Tests
PRACTICE FACTS NIGHTLY! A great tool: XTRAMATH (If they sign on with clever, Xtramath is an app that they can get to and practice at home)
Practice addition facts first. If your child has mastered their addition facts, have them start practicing multiplication facts. They will need to know their multiplication facts up to X9.
Science: No test this week
Writing: Our spelling test will be over long i words on Friday.
Social Studies: No assessments will be given this week.
