Our Mission Statement
PRAYER
St. Theresa’s Prayer
May today there be peace within you.
May you trust God that you are exactly where you are meant to be.
May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born in faith.
May you use those gifts that you have received, and pass on the love that has been given to you.
May you be content knowing you are a child of God. Let this presence settle into your bones and allow your soul the freedom to sing, dance, praise and love. It is there for each and every one of us.
Amen.
A Note from Mrs. Longden
At Holy Trinity, we are blessed with devoted leaders, passionate teachers, loving families, and caring students. This amazing family gives Holy Trinity “the heart,” and our generous donors give us the ability to offer your child a well-rounded Catholic education that is rooted in the Gospel values.
Grades can be an important measure of how a student is progressing, but they are not the only measure. I know that all of our teachers are more interested in each student doing their best, than the grade at the end of term. Our primary goal as a Catholic school is not to have your child earn good grades; we want them to grow into men and women of faith and virtue, prepared to enter the next stage of their lives. We hope that they come to school ready to learn because they wonder about the beautiful gift of creation that God has given us, and they are in awe of the love that Jesus shows us each day.
The Catholic Church has always taught that parents are the primary educators of their children. Our school serves to assist you in that role, and by working together, we can have the greatest impact. I encourage you to check up on your child in a way that fits their needs. For a younger child, they may need more assistance, while an older child may need to practice taking initiative. Some students may be able to work independently, while others will need more support - even in the same classroom. Each student is unique, and each is a beautiful child of God.
What does it mean to WALK WITH JESUS? And what are the different "steps" we can take to ensure we are walking with Him? One of the ways is through prayer. This week, I would like to share a simple yet meaningful prayer that can be prayed anywhere, anytime.
Pope Francis' Five Finger Prayer - A Way to Remember Who to Pray For
Thumb: Your thumb is the closest finger to you. So start praying for those who are closest to you. These are the people easiest to remember. Those who are most dear to you. This is often family and friends. Think of their special needs at this time and pray for them by name.
Index Finger: The next finger is the index. Pray for those who teach you, instruct you, and heal you. These could be parents, grandparents, teachers, priests, etc. Ask the Holy Spirit to strengthen them in their own lives and help them understand how to help you. Pray for them by name.
Middle Finger: The following finger is the tallest. It reminds us of our leaders and those who have authority. Think about our political and cultural leaders. Pray that they might lead our country and society in a direction that brings us closer to God. Ask the Holy Spirit to inspire them to do what is right. Pray that our leaders have the wisdom to make good decisions.
Ring Finger: The fourth finger is the ring finger, our weakest finger. It should remind us to pray for the weakest, the poor, the sick, the young, the aged, the unwanted, the ignored, the discarded. Seek inspiration to know how to help the weakest in our society. Ask for the strength and courage to serve others.
Pinkie: The pinkie finger is our smallest finger. Your pinkie should remind you to pray for yourself last. This is a reminder to put the needs of others first and to remember that everyone has challenges in life. Seek the wisdom to know that God is with you in all that you do and to put your hopes and cares in His hands.

Safe Environment Education Training
Promise to Protect, Pledge to Heal
The Archdiocese of Milwaukee is committed to maintaining safe environments for children to learn, pray, and grow. Our Safe Environment Office supports our parishes and schools and maintains the compliance of our archdiocese in our Promise to Protect, Pledge to Heal.
Every priest, deacon, parish or school staff member, teacher and lay minister that is employed by a parish or school and any volunteer working with minors in our archdiocese is required to meet three requirements:
1-Attend a Safe Environment Education Session. This is a child abuse and maltreatment prevention program that must be attended in person. The current curriculum taught in this session is Circle of Care by the Archdiocese of Omaha.
2-Pass a Criminal Background Check. This check is done at the start of employment or beginning volunteering with minors and must be done every five (5) years subsequently. The criminal background check is conducted through the CMG Connect portal. The criminal background check reports are reviewed and certified through the collaboration of the Archdiocese of Milwaukee Safe Environment Office and parish/school Safe Environment coordinators.
3-Sign the Code of Ethical Standards for Church Leaders Link to Code of Ethical Standards. This code of conduct provides volunteers and employees with expectations and guidelines for how they interact with and conduct themselves in ministry. This code must be signed prior to beginning volunteering or working in a parish or school and is reviewed every five (5) years subsequently.
As Catholics, we are all tasked with participating in ensuring that every child is able to feel safe in our parishes and schools. In addition to our safe environment requirements for adults, the Archdiocese of Milwaukee requires all parish religious education programs and Catholic schools to provide instruction on personal safety and abuse prevention in age-appropriate lessons for all children in grades kindergarten through twelfth grade enrolled in their programs. Parishes and schools are required to annually report their compliance with this requirement.
We invite you to explore what we are doing at the archdiocesan level, at the parish level, and what we ask of every adult in our parishes to do to help us maintain a Safe Environment to remember our past, protect our present and hope for our future.
2022 Mother of Perpetual Help Novena
Mark your calendars and join us for Exposition & Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament and a novena to Our Mother of Perpetual Help at Saint Michael’s Church on Mondays at 7:00 p.m. for nine consecutive weeks. August 29, September 5, 12, 19, 26, October 3, 10, 17, 24. This is an opportunity to adore our Lord in a special way and to ask His Blessed Mother to intercede for us on our behalf. Even if you cannot make all the nine dates, please join us when you can and feel free to bring a family member or friend with you. Members of other parishes are certainly welcome.
