Work for positive change

"BOSES ANG MASA” is a political empowerment and community education program developed and co-founded by former House Representative, Velma Veloria, and educator/activist, Alice Tang Coil. BOSES ANG MASA stands for voice of the masses in Tagalog. Sponsored by North Seattle Community College, this class is designed to demystify the political and policy making process. Throughout the three-week series, you will discover your leadership potential, gain confidence in your ability to participate in the public sectors, and get ready to advocate for change. BOSES ANG MASA is a practice of “learning by doing” and you will leave inspired to become a key contributor to the democratic process and work for positive change.

The Political Empowerment Workshop offers:

• Interactive learning opportunities with community leaders who share their inside stories about public leadership.
• Hands-on activities to assist you in developing specific leadership skills and community organizing strategies.
• Practice SPEAKING UP AND BEING HEARD on issues that matter to you.

Newly appointed King County Council member Rod Demboski will speak at March 14th session.
