May It Be of Benefit

Hello Families,

Our first week back to in-person learning was fantastic! I can't tell you how much we love seeing your children in person. Distance Learning is hard. Transitioning back (and forth) is hard. Remembering to wear a mask is hard. Readjusting to schedules, sitting at a desk, and all the things that by now in a normal school year would be routine, are once again new--- which is hard. No question, though, it's absolutely worth it! Thank you for all you are doing to support what we are doing here. To help our school remain open and our students and staff stay Covid-free please talk with your children about:

  • The importance of wearing their masks
  • Washing reusable masks daily or replacing disposable masks daily (new studies are showing this is important)
  • Washing hands frequently and for a full 20 seconds while rubbing them with soap and under the water (science shows that hand washing is superior to liquid sanitizers for eliminating germs)

Enjoy the 3-day weekend (no school 1/18). We talked at school this week about why Monday is a holiday. See if your child remembers what their teacher or I said about Martin Luther King, Jr. and his peaceful quest for equality for all people.

With gratitude,

Mrs. Gold
