CRUSADER NEWS THAT YOU CAN USE....

This Week's Recap....
This week at Holy Cross....
It seems that some of the students think that they are on Christmas vacation already... but we still have two weeks to go. Please talk with your students about their behavior leading up to Christmas break, what your expectations are for them and the consequences at home should they make bad choices. While we do understand the anticipation and hope that the students have a wonderful break, it is not that time yet and our teachers still have alot to teach in the next two weeks. I have had to deal with an unusually high number of disciplinary issues this week and it is not acceptable for our school.
A word about illness... it is cold and flu season. Our policy (which is the Department of Health Policy) is that a student MAY NOT come to school if he/she has had fever, vomiting or diarrhea within 24 hours. This is because the student is still contagious. Parents, please help us keep the spread of illness down as much as possible by not sending children to school that have had these symptoms, or medicating your child who currently has these symptoms and sending them to school. Not only do other students get ill, but so do our teachers. I know that you would rather have your student's teacher in his/her class than a substitute teacher.
Please be sure to take note of the day of your student(s) Christmas program. All of the students are working very hard on this. Please drop your students off at 6:30PM and then find a seat in the auditorium. Parking will be available in our front and back parking lots, on the street and at Fraternity Baptist Church.
The Anthony's Pizza fundraiser for our youth group is next Tuesday. All you need to do to support this is to go to Anthony's and either eat dinner in or take dinner out. The youth receive a percentage of all checks as long as you identify that you are with Holy Cross. So, please take advantageous of a night of not cooking dinner and visit Anthonys at 1835 NE 123rd St. See Mr. Toenjes and let him know you are there to support the youth (you can't miss him, he's the really tall guy with blond hair).

Please do not send your child to school with any of the following:
- Fever within 24 hours
