Week of May 22
Spring Sports
Congratulations to Coach Churchey and the boys' lacrosse team on their successful season. Unfortunately, the season came to an end last week with a loss to Springfield Delco but the team had many accomplishments to celebrate this season. Good luck to the softball team today as they open District 1 playoff action at Pennsbury at 4pm. Lastly, congratulations to Ian Johnson (1600m Run and 3200m Run) Doug Ledger (Javelin) Sienna Miller (3200m Run)
Mackenzie Owens (300m Hurdles) and Audrey Ramsey (Javelin) on qualifying for the PIAA state track and field championships to be held at Shippensburg Friday and Saturday. Good luck!
It is hard to believe we are planning for the fall of 2023 sports seasons but we are doing so. As part of our partnership with St. Luke's, they will be providing FREE sports physicals for any athlete for next year. The physicals will take place on Friday, June 2 in the high school cafeteria from 3pm to 7pm. UPDATE: all of our spots are already filled at PV so if you still would like to get a free physical you will have to go to one of the other options offered by St. Luke's at Coca Cola Park in Allentown on June 26, July 10, and July 12. We are hoping that providing these 4 opportunities will help all of our athletes complete the necessary steps by July 24 when we ask for fall sports registrations to be completed.
Sincerely,
Robert L. Felty Jr.
