Vol. #13 - Engineering The Possibilities
This is ETA!
Engineering & Technologies Academy (ETA) is located at Roosevelt High School. ETA provides a specialized curriculum with rigor and relevance for students seeking a future in Engineering, Cyber Security, Advance Manufacturing (Robotics) and Graphic Design. In addition, ETA students are prepared for attaining Industry-Based Certifications related to these fields of study. Students at ETA also enjoy the opportunity to get involved and compete year-round in CyberPatriots, Robotics, Rocketry and with the (TSA) Technology Student Association competitions up to the national level. ETA believes in the added value of advanced placement course where students are strongly encouraged to graduate at the Distinguished Level with as many endorsements as they are able to achieve. ETA offers a hands-on, problem-based learning environment where they continually are faced with solving real-world problems using the most current methods, modalities and technologies available. These skill sets guide our magnet students into becoming very adept problem solvers with excellent critical thinking skills.

Mr. Robert Lozano - ETA Director
Recruiting Events!
Our ETA Faculty, Staff and selected students did a fantastic job last Monday (11/2) in presenting our magnet program to our virtual visitors last week. We showcased our pathways and endorsements and our students were able to field various questions from our student visitors in regards to AP coursework and extra-curricular activities. Our teacher sponsors also shared insights about our student led clubs here at ETA and the benefits of joining our teams.
The Show Goes On!
We will again be promoting our magnet program this coming week at the new ICSI cybersecurity Center (Former Walmart next to MacArthur). So if you know of any potential and interested 8th graders please encourage them to come and visit our ETA booth and we will answer all questions that they may have as well as highlights some key points about ETA.
Inviting All 8th Graders In-Person!
We will also be showcasing "In-Person" our ETA magnet program on Nov. 10 (A-L) & 12 (M-Z) at the new ICSI Cybercenter (Walmart) 3175 Nacogdoches Road, San Antonio, TX, next to MacArthur HS from 5:30-7:30pm
