Breakfast;

1 bowl of wholegrain cereal with low-fat milk

2 slices of whole wheat toast

1 banana

1 glass of fruit juice


Mid morning;

Fruit scone

Low fat spread

Small bunch of grapes

Cup of coffee/tea


Lunch;

Pasta salad

Crusty bread roll

Fresh fruit


Mid afternoon snack;

Scrambled eggs on toast

Fresh fruit



Dinner;

Grilled salmon

Baked or broiled potatoes

Mixed salad/veggies

Chopped fresh fruit


Bed time;

Cup of hot chocolate and 2 biscuits

Calories needed

First trimester: 200 calories

Second trimester: 300 to 350 calories

Third trimester: extra 500 calories
