All of the meetings are open to the public, however, public input will be reserved for the Community Engagement Meetings.
January 20th - Formal charge to Committee, general background on timeline and process, review of current school boundaries, review of middle school boundary alternatives, discussion and alternate scenarios.
January 29th - Review of Middle School Boundary alternatives requested by the Committee, Review of High School Boundary alternatives developed by District, Discussion and alternate scenarios requested by Committee
February 19th - Student transition for grandfathered students, siblings, and open enrollment, Review of HS Boundary Alternatives, Discussion of MS and HS Boundary alternatives, Recommendation of MS and HS alternatives to Board of Education

Third High School Boundary Option for Public Input
After the first reading of the boundary recommendations on Monday, June 8, 2020, the Sioux Falls School Board continued to receive and review feedback from the community. Additional research led to the creation of a third High School option for consideration (Option A2). While working within the parameters of the taskforce, the Board has created an option that blends both Option A and Option C, responding to some of the concerns regarding distances traveled to school, safety of students driving to school, and maintaining balanced diversity across the district.
The School Board will meet on Wednesday, June 17 at 5:30pm at the Instructional Planning Center, 201 E. 38th St., for a work session to discuss this new option. The community is welcome to attend and a time for public comments will be provided. In addition, the Let’s Talk feature on the district website can also be used to submit feedback.
The final vote for the school boundaries that will go into effect in the Fall 2021 will be June 22, 2020 at 5:30pm, at the regularly scheduled board meeting at IPC.
There are no additional options being considered for Middle School at this time.
