Fairfield Panther Paw

April 28, 2023

From Mrs Tennenbaum

This past Wednesday was Administrative Professionals Day - we are so grateful for Daniella Schmidt and Jennifer Todd who work in our main office. We appreciate all that they do for Fairfield!

It is hard to believe that we are at the end of April! We have 18 days of school left. With the remaining few weeks of school and summer break coming on everyone's minds, we still need students to remain focused and engaged. We have some fun activities coming for students including SuperGames and students will be working hard to earn that event. Students may lose the opportunity to participate if they do not display our ROAR model expectations. We really want all students to participate and I know that our students can rise to the expectations.

Big picture

I am excited to announce that Trent Miller be joining the Fairfield family as the Assistant Principal next year as Lea Ann Yoakum is retiring after 35 years in education. He comes to us from Dayton Public Schools. He has 7 years of administrative experience and comes with a wealth of knowledge that will help us grow!
Big picture

Congratulations to Jennifer Perry for being Fairfield Elementary's Friend of Education for going that extra mile for our kids and our staff. We are grateful to have her on PTO as well as a daily substitute. Congratulations to Kathy Richardson for being Harmon's Friend of Education winner, We are so fortunate for the enormous amount of time she gives to us as well. I am also excited to announce that Fairfield was awarded a grant from the Pickerington Education Foundation to put calming corners in our classrooms. This is a great space for kids to go when they are feeling overwhelmed or frustrated.

23-24 school year

We are already planning for next school year. If you have a Kindergartener starting next school year, we will be scheduling your initial day to attend for screening.

Those who will have 1st - 4th graders, we are doing a two day staggered start so your student with EITHER attend on Aug 15th or Aug 16th. We will be splitting the days by households so if you have more than 1 Fairfield student, they will attend on the same day.
