Principal Post

Bingo Night was a big success last Thursday evening! The turnout was terrific and fun was had by all who attended. Special THANKS to the DuJardin PTO for sponsoring this annual traditional. THANKS to our parent volunteers who made the night so much fun, Mrs. Hunn, Mrs. Threadgill, Mrs. Kress, Mrs. Cozzo, Mrs. Capua, Mrs. Shannon, Mrs. Tricka, Mrs. Dworianyn, Mrs. Rojba, Mrs. Simone-Graham, Mrs. Johnson, Mrs. Plascencia, and Mr. Hilgart to name a few, and to our Caller, Mrs. Schmuldt and her assistant, Mrs. Frattinger! Also, a big THANKS to the teams of DuJardin teachers that put together some awesome raffles baskets! There were some very happy raffle winners at Bingo Night!

Parents, your patience is greatly appreciated at the end of the day during student pick up. It typically takes 7-8 minutes to clear the parking lot and get all the students picked up at dismissal. Below are a few tips for afternoon pick up at dismissal time:

  • Pick your child up after the rush of dismissal; try arriving at 3:35 instead of waiting in a long line of cars from 3:20-3:35.

  • Park your car on Euclid Ct., Tee St., or Freeport and walk to the front entrance to greet your child at dismissal. Parking on either side of Euclid Ave. is illegal (no parking signs are posted).

  • Follow the directions of the staff members in the parking lot attempting to move cars to the open spaces along the curb. Children are to be picked up along the curb from in front of the office all the way to the school sign.

  • DO NOT leave your car unattended at any time in the drive thru lane in order to pick up your child.

  • TURN RIGHT out of the parking lot on Euclid versus a left turn which will clear the parking lot much faster.

Please be a positive role model for our students as you drive in the parking lot during morning arrival and afternoon dismissal. Please be aware of our safety patrols on duty before and after school. Remember - Children may not always listen to what we say but they are always watching what we do.

Bingo Fun!!!

5Essentials Parent Survey - Please take this survey - Your feedback is welcome!

2018-19 Illinois Parent Survey

Dear Parent, The Illinois State Board of Education invites you to participate in a school improvement survey for parents. Please Note: This survey is NOT a component of the 5Essentials Organizing Schools for Improvement Survey. In this survey, you will be asked to provide feedback about your child’s school. Please consider your child’s current experience at school (i.e., 2018-2019 school year). This survey is designed to help school and district leadership improve their understanding of the parent/school relationship.

All responses are completely anonymous. Responses to anonymous surveys cannot be traced back to the respondent. Additionally, your responses will be combined with other parents from your child's school and summarized in a school report to further protect your anonymity. Your participation in this survey is voluntary and you have the right to discontinue participation at any point.

If you have more than one (1) child, you may elect to participate multiple times.

The 5Essentials Parent Survey is now open. Parents are encouraged to complete this survey. Please use the following link to access the parent survey:
