Portfolio Winner E4Youth

Congratulations to Luis Angeles-Sanchez for receiving an interactive media SXSW badge! His graphic design portfolio was ranked in the top 10 student portfolios in the Austin area.

Previous design students who have earned this honor have gone on to work with design firms for large corporations such as Pizza Hut, GSD&M, and Vote.org.

ASVAB

The ASVAB is a Career Skills inventory that is also utilized by the military for job placement. Crockett is offering a free administration of the ASVAB on Wednesday, March 11th for students in 10-12th grades. Testing will start at 9am and conclude around noon. Students will be excused from their classes during testing. This test is a great way for students to explore career options - both in the military and civilian sectors - that may be a good match for their skills. If your student is interested in taking this exam, they can sign up in College & Career Center or email michelle.snyder@austinisd.org.

Please consider supporting our Boys Soccer Team by participating in their Snap Raise Fundraiser.

Student IDs

As a reminder, student IDs are expected to be on and visible at all times. If you student has lost or misplaced their ID, they can purchase a new one in the main office before or after school for $5.

We appreciate your support with encouraging your student to have their ID at school daily as we strive to keep our campus safe.

Students who regularly do not have their IDs will be assigned discipline consequences.

Cell Phone Policy

At Crockett Early College High School, we support our Core Value of “Engagement” through the Collective Commitment of “Away for the Day” regarding Cell Phones and Headphones. This is in line with the AISD District Policy FNCE.

Students are allowed to possess a cell phone. However, cell phones should not be used in classrooms or hallways during instructional time. Students who need a device for instruction should use their charged, district-issued Chromebook or other approved device.

Students who are non-compliant with this policy in classrooms and hallways during school hours will have their cell phones and other devices confiscated by an administrator. If confiscated, it will not be returned until 48 hours have passed and a $15.00 fee will be administered, as allowed by Texas Education Code 37.082. Crockett High School is not responsible for phones or other electronic devices if they are stolen or damaged while on school property. For emergency contact with family, landline telephones are available to students in school offices.

Thank you for supporting student engagement in instruction at Crockett ECHS.
