A quality Fine Arts education is essential to a well-rounded education for every child. Students that participate in the Arts are able to explore their passions and develop the creativity that is vital to every student's growth. Fine Arts teachers in Little Elm ISD are committed to the district's vision to Engage, Equip, and Empower each student to realize their full potential.
Let's promote LEISD Fine Arts on Social Media!
Makalya Oblad was nominated by Casi Currington, the Choir Director at Strike Middle School. Ms. Currington said,
"Makalya is smart and talented, but she is also kind, friendly, funny, and incredibly hard working. She is in Honors English and History, Advanced Math, Athletics, and the top group for both Band and Choir. Plus, she gets good grades in all of those. Outside of school she also takes piano lessons. Anytime she sees a challenge she says "sure!" and tackles it. She played in and organized a small group of percussionists to accompany one of our choir songs at the winter concert, played a piano duet with her brother at the same concert, and she played glockenspiel to accompany a piece at our fall choir concert. She frequently helps me run sectionals. I have never heard her say an unkind word to or about anyone. She is a friend to anyone she meets, and has a fabulous style and sense of humor. I am so incredibly lucky to have Makalya in my program."
"Keith is an exemplary band student! He can always be found in the band hall before and after school practicing his trumpet. Keith has started taking lessons this year to help push his playing abilities and has grown so much. He auditioned for the All-Region Band and is currently auditioning for the All-Region Jazz Band. In addition to being a phenomenal band student, Keith maintains an all A average in school and competes with various athletic teams representing Walker Middle School. We are super proud of him and all his hard work!"

In an effort to provide safety and security for all students in LEISD, the district requires that parent volunteers complete an annual background check, due after July 1st of each year. The application used for the check is called AppGarden. The link is provided below. Should a volunteer need to provide fingerprinting, the district will notify the applicant with instructions on how to complete the background process.
THANK YOU for being willing to volunteer of your free time for the students in Little Elm ISD!
