Ms. Palucki's Classroom News
End of the 2018-2019 School Year
Dear Families,
I can't believe that the 2018 - 2019 school year has come to an end. Thank you for your commitment and involvement this school year! It was my pleasure to watch your child grow every day. We have laughed, loved, played, studied, learned, and enriched our lives together this year. I wish it could go on indefinitely! Remember, I will always be interested in your child and their destiny - wherever they go, whatever they do, and whoever they become.
Thank you for supporting all my efforts! It has been a wonderful and rewarding year. Your child is truly special! I want my students to always remember to be the best they can be! They have worked so hard this year and have made so much progress. They have made teaching the greatest job in the world and I will always remember all that they have shared with me.
This is the final newsletter of the school year and I hope you enjoyed reading and catching up on all the fun learning going on in our classroom!
Thank you for everything you do,
Ms. Palucki
Memories Last Forever...
This school year has been AMAZING and I loved teaching and making memories with your child throughout the year! I am so proud of each student and their hard work in 5th grade- they made so much growth! We had a wonderful year and ended it with several events such as field day, a track-athon, and ABC countdown!
Although I will miss seeing their smiling faces every day, I know they will be awesome 6th graders. I told the students to update me on all the fun they are doing this summer! I always check my emails!!
Enjoy your summer break and make sure to relax and spend time with family and friends.
Enjoy our Room 204 - 5th Grade Slideshow that the students watched that highlights all the fun we had! :)

Summer Reading Challenge!
A librarian from the Niles-Maine District Library came to Apollo to talk to the students about this opportunity. Your child brought home some flyers related to the challenge this past month.

Last Time With Our Buddies
Meanwhile, we had the chance to meet with our preschool buddies during centers. It's been an awesome experience working with the students and seeing them interact with their buddies. Thank you Ms. Soike and Ms. Nedza for a fantastic year!

Tip of the Month
The students have spent this year learning various skills and concepts that we would like them to keep as they move into 6th grade!
Research shows that, "a nonacademic summer can cause students at every grade level to digress two to three months in their academic skills." Teachers know that it is important for students to relax during the summer months, however, it is also important for students to still continue to strengthen their academic skills!
