Bus Boycotts
Montgomery, Alabama
about
Acoording to http://www.holtlaborlibrary.org the bus boycotts began with Rosa Parks on December 1,1955 in Montgomery,AL when Parks would not giver her sit up for a white man on a bus. Since many African American people rode the bus, when in a whole African Americanas stopped riding the bus the transit started to loose a lot of money.Rosa Parks was later arrested and Martin Luther KIng Jr. became the "spokes peron" for the boycott. This boycott happened because rosa Parks and other African Americans wanted to be treated equally. In the end this movement definently made an impact on our world.By:Mary Steel period 1
