Big picture

Jackson Parents/Guardians,

Happy New Year to all of you! I hope you and your family had a memorable, healthy, and safe holiday season! I cannot wait until January 19th to be able to see our In-School learners in person, once again.

2021's Remote Learning begins on January 6th at 8:00am for all students. (Please note that from January 6-18, ALL District 11 students remain online for Remote Learning.) Please make sure your child(ren)'s technology is charged and their work area is organized and ready! The Jackson Staff is eager to see the students' beautiful smiles as we are ready to start 2021 off with a bang!

Please make sure to read below for the information you will need, if you are wanting to CHANGE your child(ren) from in-person learning to online or vice versa. The deadline for the change is January 4, 2021.

I know that 2021 will be an incredible year! Let's continue to work together to make it a special one!

Want to Change from Online to In-Person or In-Person to Online?

Due to the District's decision to remain online until January 19th, we are asking that parents/guardians who are wanting to change their children’s learning platform (from online to in person or from in person to online) for 2021, must do so NO LATER than January 4, 2021.

We only need to hear from you, if you are changing your child(ren)'s current placement! Please note that if you make a decision to change, your child may NOT have their current teacher.

If we do not hear from you by January 4, 2021, parents/guardians are committing to have their child continue as they have been learning from September to November 2020. (The next time you can change is March 8, 2021, at the end of the 3rd quarter.)

You may respond by:

  • calling the front office (719) 328-5800 (you may leave a message if the office is closed)

Remote Learning Communication

Communication will continue to be key for remote learning as we return on January 6, 2021. Your teacher will be available to help support your student and to answer any questions you may have. However, we need to ask that you communicate with the school, whenever your child(ren) is absent.

If your student is unable to attend online, or is having difficulty completing assignments, you must communicate that with your student's teacher. If you schedule won't allow for your student to make certain live lessons, please let your teacher know when work can be completed (after school hours, on the weekend, etc.). You may also contact the office if you have any questions at all. Our office number is 719.328.5800.
