SPECIAL 8th Grade EDITION
Calendar of Events
All currently enrolled 8th grade students are invited to this special celebration and dance. This is a FREE event sponsored by our PTA. No underclassman or outside guests.
Tuesday, May 24th- NJHS Induction- New and Returning Members- 6:00 -7:30 p.m
Thursday, May 26th- End of the Year Grade Level Field Trip to Schlitterbahn

Friday, May 27th- 8th grade Recogntion Ceremony-- 10:00-11:30
8th grade students recognition ceremony, awards, and student slide show. We ask that each student have 2 guests and due to seating limitations.
We will live stream the event as well for those unable to attend in person.
Friday, May 27th-- 8th Grade Student Luncheon 11:30 on Front Lawn

O. Henry 8th Grade Dance - O. Henry Forever - Friday, May 20th, 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Wear your favorite RED and WHITE O. Henry colors to the 8th Grade “O. Henry Forever” Dance. Join us and volunteer to dance the night away with DJ House Doctor, capture some beautiful memories with a custom photo booth, and chaperoning your child’s last 8th-grade event.

To our 8th Grade Parents…. We are looking for volunteers to help set up chairs and possible banner in the gym on Thursday, May 26th from 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm to make sure the big day runs smoothly.

We are looking for volunteers to help with the setup and breakdown of the 8th-Grade Recognition Ceremony and Luncheon on the last day of school, May 27th from 8:30 am - 1:30 pm. We would appreciate your support so our 8th-grade families can celebrate together. Thank you in advance for helping us celebrate a milestone for our 2022 Mustangs! When: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday
7am – 9am (Experienced, HS) & 9am – 11am (New, MS)
Where: Austin High School Athletic Facilities
Cost: $25 per week or $125 for 6 weeks
