GES Weekly
December 2, 2022
This week we were right back in the swing of things here at GES. Students and staff have been working on lots of new learning and problem solving.
I was able to get our circus video edited and ready for sharing. It is linked below! If you have problems viewing it or sharing it, please reach out. We hope you enjoy it!
Sarah Doran, Director of WNESU After School Program is looking for your feedback on ASP and to learn about your needs. A survey is linked below that we would love to have you participate in. Thank you!
Have a great weekend and stay warm!

Kindergarten

Grade 1 & 2
Their day was filled with these hard workers showing what our classroom community is all about! They learned a new math game, continued exploring non fiction and fiction texts, and played a literacy game where they showed teamwork and respect.

3rd & 4th Graders
The students found different areas of rectangles during math today using tape. This experience will connect to later work when we talk about factors, and prime and composite numbers.
5th & 6th Graders!
Students read the Princess and the Warrior by Mexican author and illustrator Duncan Tonatiuh. These watercolors are paintings of the two volcanoes named after the princess and the warrior in Mexico City.
A note from Mrs. Lisai:
Buenos Dias! We are studying Mexico and will be making salsa next Friday!
We are in need of some supplies, please let me know if you can help!
Jars with lids
4 large cans of diced tomatoes
2 onions
4 large garlic cloves or 1 jar of minced garlic
Cilantro
4 limes
2 small jars of chopped jalapeños
2 bags of tortilla chips
I will be sending home a sign up sheet today!
Gracias!
Kristie
