Eagle Update: September 11, 2020
Barton Hills Elementary
Hello BHE Families:
WOW! This has been such a remarkable start to our school year. I cannot thank everyone enough for their patience and grace as we embarked on our remote off-campus learning period. We know there were some glitches along the way - some that we could fix (wrong zoom links) and some that were entirely out of our control (Google Fiber outages)! We so appreciate everyone who is taking this journey with us and ready to jump into week 2 :).
Yesterday AISD sent out a parent survey regarding parent preferences for learning beginning October 6th which I know has generated a lot of questions about what in person learning will look like in October. The AISD Open for Learning Document provides parents with some general information around the instructional models (pages 6 and 7) health and safety protocols (pages 20 - 26) and responses to COVID-19 reports (pages 27 - 30). I understand that that not all questions you have are answered in this plan and that you may want more information before responding to the survey. We expect to get more guidance early next week and as more specific school plans are developed we will communicate those to you.
