Camp Wolverine
We will be leaving promptly at 7:30am on Thursday, Jan. 12. Students should be at school around 7:20 to get on the bus. The bus will be parked in front of Shay. Students will need a sack lunch and a drink on Thursday. It's also a good idea to pack a water bottle. The kids get thirsty from all the activities.
There is an additional note in the Friday folder about getting ready for Thursday.
I'm sending an extra packing list home in the Friday folder for those of you that like to get ready for the week over the weekend. Please, keep in mind that this is winter camp and the kids are outside a ton. Plan to pack warm boots, gloves, and hat. Extra socks and mittens are always nice to have. Also, slippers or tennis shoes are a must for inside the cabin.
Kids do need a bottom sheet for the bunk bends. If you don't have a twin fitted sheet a sheet for a larger bed is fine and there will be plenty of adults there to help make the beds. If you don't have a sleeping bag, blankets are fine too. Students will need a pillow. The bunk rooms are pretty comfortable at night so don't worry about your child being cold.
- No extra food or drinks in the dorm room. There will be plenty of food and snacks in the mess hall.
- If you child takes any medication, please give it to me in a ziplock bag before we leave on Thursday with directions for administering the meds.
- We will be returning to Shay at about 4pm on Friday, Jan. 13. Be ready for a tired camper!

- Reading: This week we read a non-fiction story about hurricanes. Students learned how text features support a story.
