Have you ever wanted to volunteer at Meadowbrook School but just haven't found the right fit? Well, I have 3 possible ways that you can help out, and none of them require any skill or training!
The 1st volunteer opportunity is to actually help set up the art show. The time "frame" is anywhere between 12:00-4:30 on Friday, Jan. 22nd. It is a fun activity that only requires you to hang art up or put push pins into some of the 900 works of art that our AMAZING students have created. I know, you are over-qualified, but I sure could use a person like YOU.
The 2nd opportunity to volunteer is even easier but VERY important. It's donating FOOD! Store bought or homemade, it does not make any difference to me. Items such as cheese and crackers, fruit, pretzel bites, and baked goods are always appreciated and make the art show that much more enjoyable. If you are the kind of volunteer who would be interested in dropping off a sweet or finger food, please let me know via e-mail at jkatona@themeadowbrookschool.org.
And finally, the 3rd chance to volunteer is packing up the art museum and converting it back into an old-fashioned gymnasium. This opportunity includes taking down all art and getting it safely back into each student's portfolio. This would take place on Monday morning Jan. 25th from 9:00-11:00.
Anyone interested in volunteering just let me know. Thank you in advance for your help and support. I'm looking forward to working with you! Jillian Katona
