#DigitallyINspirED
----------------------October 2020 ---------------------
Greetings!
We hope that you are enjoying the cooler weather and staying healthy, safe, and most importantly practicing self-care. As educators, we know how important it is to take care of ourselves so we can take care of our students, but do we always do this? Remember to take time for yourself and your family daily-get plenty of rest, set boundaries, enjoy a hobby, and be present for your loved ones.
In this issue of #DigitallyINspirEd, we will highlight Assessment and evaluations
from ISTE's 14 Essential Conditions (International Society for Technology in Education). You will also find valuable information about Cybersecurity month, voting resources for your students, upcoming PD opportunities to grow your knowledge in Digital Learning, and October's Nominated Innovative Educator!
As always, please feel free to reach out if there is anything we can do for you.
Assessment and Evaluations - one of ISTE's 14 Essential Conditions
To gauge the progress and success of technology integration within a system, leaders need to continually assess how effectively the technology is applied at all levels. This consists of evaluating technology itself and also those who use technology including educators. In this issue, we are going to focus on the student side. Are digital technologies useful for achieving educational goals and objectives? To what extent has technology impacted student assessment practices and achievement?
It is imperative to monitor learning throughout instruction through formative and summative assessments. Sometimes this is more challenging in an online environment. Check out these helpful resources:
