5th & 6th Grade Band Resumes This Week

Parent Meetings are Underway to Improve Attendance
This year, as part of a district initiative to improve student attendance in Fraser, we are meeting with families whose children are becoming chronically absent. These meetings are now underway in all buildings throughout the district. As part of the meetings, we create Student Success Plans and discuss helpful strategies for ensuring your child attends school every day!
Some of these strategies may serve as a good reminder to everyone:
Talk to your child about how going to school every day will help them do well in school and achieve their hopes and dreams.
Set goals for positive attendance (i.e. no tardies/absences this month)
Reward/acknowledge students' positive attendance habits.
Make sure students get to bed early and awake early enough to get to school on time.
Set up medical and dental appointments for weekdays after school, Early Release/Half Day afternoons, or weekends- if possible.
For children with a slight stomach ache, headache or allergies, who don't have a contagious illness including Covid-19, plan to send them to school. Call a health provider for advice for children who complain regularly.
For children who cannot avoid missing school, check Canvas for learning resources. Also, be sure to call our attendance line at: 586-439-6890
