Dear Friends,

Hand-Blown Eggs

March 22, 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM

Makers Space at MCC, 300 West Washington St., Middleburg, VA 20117

About the event:

Celebrate Spring at the Middleburg Community Center Makers Space with this whimsical workshop creating hand-blown painted eggs. They'll last for years to come! I still have some that I made when I was a little girl. I remember sitting at our kitchen table with my mom--surrounded by glittler, paint, glue and friends!--decorating these delicate treasures with so much joy. Now, I want to pass that joy onto you!

In this workshop you will learn the technique of hand-blowing eggs. I'll have plenty of eggs for you to practice with. And then we'll get to the fun part of decorating them!! Because the eggs need to dry before adding paint, I will have 1/2 doz pre-blown eggs for each participant to paint and take home. Light refreshments will be served.

By no means do I wear the 'expert' hat with hand-blown eggs--there are true artisans who have skills way beyond mine--I consider myself a creative guide. However, I do promise an inspiring, encouraging environment to create, explore and learn together!

This workshop is family friendly! We kindly ask that you bring no more than 2 children per adult ticket, as space is limited. Parents may purchase additional eggs for $12 per 1/2 dozen.
