Important Reminders
- All Staff, Students and Visitors are expected to wear a face covering while on site making sure to cover your mouth and nose. You may remove your covering when eating lunch.
- Frequent hand washing is encouraged.
- Parents, if your child has a fever, please keep them home.
- Students must wear a mask when riding a bus and entering the school building.
- Water bottles are permitted. Please bring your own bottle to refill daily.
- When students are ill and need to see the nurse, it is important the school nurse knows who is going home and the reason. Students: Don't text your parent if you are not feeling well. The school nurse will make the call.
To all parents/guardians
- If you move, please notify the school. You will be asked to Email or FAX a Proof of Address document such as a Lease Agreement (first and last page signed by the parent and landlord), Cox Cable Bill, DHHS letter or Bill of Sale on a house. The school FAX is 531-299-2319 or Email Melanie.Liekhus@ops.org
- if you change phone numbers or Email addresses, call Mrs. Liekhus at 531-299-6867. We must have workable phone numbers for all parents/guardians. Please check your voice messages and empty your personal mailboxes. Many times we call a parent and cannot leave a message because your mailbox is full.
- When students have Dr. Appointments, (a parent needs to call when you leave class if your child is doing remote learning and then call again when you return if it's still during school hours).
- For your convenience, doctor notes may be faxed directly to our school nurse at 531-299-2318 from your doctor's office to avoid making a trip to the school.
- For the protection of all of our Staff and Students at Bryan Middle School, when parents/guardians need to pick up a child from school, we ask that you wear a mask to enter the doors and provide ID at the main office. Once we have verified your identity, we will call your child to the office. While the child is coming to the office, please move your vehicle to the main entrance and we will send your student out. If you are sending someone in to pick up your child, please call the office at 531-299-2300 ahead of time to let us know who will be coming in and the time. That person will need to show a valid ID prior to us releasing the student.
