Lincoln County Fair Exhibitor Packets for Livestock and Animal Shows
Due to Covid-19, ALL Livestock and Animal Show exhibitors must stop by the Extension Office (348 West State Farm Rd.) no later than Friday, July 17 at 4:30 p.m. to pick up their packet with everything needed to show at fair. We will not be handing out back tags, t-shirts or drug affidavits at the fairgrounds.
As of now, each enrolled 4-H member will receive a wristband, along with two additional wristbands per 4-H family. Wristbands for the day(s) of your show will be in your packet. Do NOT lose these. They will NOT be re-issued, and they are mandatory to be at the fairgrounds.
Shows will be live streamed for anyone to watch.

Plaques and trophies will be awarded onsite once 4-Her’s complete the corresponding thank you note. Show orders will be emailed to exhibitors & posted at the fairgrounds. There will not be paper copies to distribute this year.
Superintendents and direct volunteers for the fair will report to the Lincoln County Ag Society Office located in the Ag Activities building to have their temperature taken each day they are at the fair. They will also be given a special wristband.
The state’s guidance document will be followed for livestock shows. The guidelines can be found at https://nda.nebraska.gov/COVID-19/fairopenings.pdf
4-H T-Shirts & Armbands will NOT be available to purchase at fair
Dog & Cat Vaccination Records
4-H'ers, in an effort to reduce the amount of paperwork being passed between people this year, we are not going to be using the vaccination forms as in past years. This year, to submit your dog and cat vaccination records for county fair, please contact your vet's office and ask them to either e-mail your vaccination records to Amber at plattevalley4paws@gmail.com or fax them to our office at (308)532-2692 prior to July 20. Those exhibiting at the State Dog Show will need to have a separate vaccination form filled out in August this year. Contact the extension office with any questions about this process.
4S Goat Expo Scholarship
This scholarship may be for you! If you are involved in the Goat industry, Check out this scholarship opportunity.
State Fair Eligible Static Item UPDATE
While we will be selecting champions and awarding plaques/project prizes at the County Fair, items selected for State Fair will not be re-judged in Grand Island. They will be a part of a “showcase” and receive a special participation ribbon if you choose to have your item(s) move on.
Large items will be showcased virtually as well as Foods, Horticulture, large items, and any items that would require a secured display case.
2020 State 4-H Project Showcase
We know this year has been unique, but we also know 4-H members have been working hard on their projects all year long. We are so proud of the work 4-H youth have done across the state despite challenging circumstances.
We want to honor the work our youth have done by providing a platform to highlight their exceptional projects and the valuable learning opportunities they have experienced. This showcase allows all enrolled youth, ages 8-18, to showcase a project they have learned a lot from this year or that they are particularly proud of.
All projects are eligible regardless of the award they received through judging or the ability to have that project judged at the county level. So, pick out your favorite 4-H project and let us know why it's your favorite and what you learned in 4-H this year for a chance to be showcased at the 2020 Nebraska State Fair.
