PAINTERStudents and Teachers talk about the clubs before the students pick which club they would like to try. Teachers sign students up a week before clubs start. Each 9 weeks students will get a chance to pick a new club.

CLUB LEADER MS. PERRY
In acting this week we played charades and Christmas themed reader's theater.
CLUB NEEDS: props like those found in a photo booth (silly/costume hats, tiaras, boas, glasses, etc) We do not need entire costumes.
ATHLETE
LEGO MASTER Grades 3 to 5
We did steps 1-3 of the engineering process last week. This week was step 4: Create! We were amazed how well the groups followed their plans.

We made reversible bracelets and decorated them.
This club needs a parent volunteer. 7:45am to 8:25am on Fridays

School store has been very popular with the students.
LEGO MASTER Kinder to 2
Enjoying our new Lego Club magazines and replicating some of the buildings in it. The photography club continues to make freeze frame movies with Lego students.

We are publishing our own book! our title is "When I Grow Up." Today we took our pictures for our book. letters will be coming home next week for parents to purchase their own copy.

We created poppy flowers, which symbolize remembrance, for our Wall of Honor that we are creating for our Veterans.
SPURS MORNING MILE
Start off the day with a morning run. Students run laps to earn mileage markers. Students then trade mileage markers for tokens that they wear on a chain around their neck.
LEADERSHIP
Our Leadership Club has diligently worked hard to complete their service project. They have done an amazing job! Santa Flower Pots adorned with clothespins each having Santa’s reindeer names on them will be auctioned off at the Silent Auction during Comanche Springs Breakfast with Santa.

Weavers continued to work on their weaving cup.

We continued our online coding lessons. The students can also work at home on these lessons. Click on the Code.org link to go to the lessons.
Almost 75 million kids coded last week, during the Hour of Code Week.
VOCABULARY:
Algorithm - A List of Steps that you can Follow to Finish a Task.
Program - An Algorithm that has been Coded into Something that can be Run by a Machine.
MAKER
Students chose between making masks, snowflakes, or metal models.
SUMMEROLOGIST
Today in summerology we did a pass the poster and finish the drawing of our most favorite summer activities!!
