Natick Preschool
Your Weekly Update from Natick Preschool
Principal's Message
Greetings Preschool Parents and Guardians,
It was wonderful to see so many of you at Open Houses this week.
Please continue to practice a good-bye routine that allows for children only to enter the building safely at arrival. Children come in the doors, parents proceed away from the door to allow other children to enter. Preschoolers will be escorted into the building and guided to their classrooms by staff.
Thank you to returning Natick Preschool community members who have been supporting and welcoming those new this year by modeling routines that promote learning and security.
Warm regards,
MaryBeth

Important Things to Know!
We Are Off To A Great Start!
All of our Natick Preschool sites (East, BenHem and NHS) are off to a great start. Your children brought their energy and enthusiasm for a new experience and the teachers and therapists welcomed every bit of it!
Dismissal Name Signs and Routine
Each day we will dismiss children to their grown-up one at a time for safety. Dismissing children one at a time also offers an opportunity to practice and build-up the prosocial skill of exchanging a farewell with the school grown-up at the door before sharing a greeting with their home grown-up. PLEASE bring your signs with your child’s name on them each day so our dismissal leaders can efficiently notify the teacher of your presence.
Reminder for Parents Who Want to Volunteer--CORI Checks
Reminder If you want to volunteer in schools, you must have a CORI check conducted and you must go into the building with identification (drivers license or passport) to do this. Click here for description of what a CORI check is and does. Without a CORI check, you cannot volunteer in the school. Here is the form to fill out for a CORI. Preschool volunteer opportunities include being a Mystery Reader for the class, presenting a family tradition and supporting special projects.
Updates to our Art and Music programming:
We are thrilled that our preschoolers will have instruction by NPS art and music teachers this year. Ms. Abby Khandelwal and Ms. Meghan Olynciw will be joining Natick Preschoolers in their classrooms each week for alternating art and music instruction. Watch SeeSaw for photos!
