Most people that donate are dead, but donors can also be living people. Living people can donate a kidney, or a portion of the liver, lung, intestine, or pancreas.

Becoming an Organ Donor
You can become an organ donor by registering with your state's Organ Donation Registry and then selecting 'Yes' to an organ donation when you apply for you driver's license.
