Organ Donation
Organ Donation
Over 100,000 people in the U.S. are waiting for an organ donation.Twenty-two people die each day waiting for an organ. One organ donor can save up to eight lives. Some people think if they donate their organs, doctors won't work as hard to save their lives. Actually, doctors have to go through many procedures to make sure you are fully dead first. Most people that donate are dead, but donors can also be living people. Living people can donate a kidney, or a portion of the liver, lung, intestine, or pancreas.
