LPHS 2021 Graduates

Although it’s been a year full of new procedures and obstacles to overcome, we are still dedicated to providing you with the best photography service available to commemorate this momentous occasion.

Aspen Studios will be photographing each student as they receive their diploma during the 2021 commencement ceremony.

Due to the ongoing restrictions from Covid-19, all orders must be shipped.

There are multiple ways to place your order:

*Place your order over the phone with a credit card payment.

Payment in full (including shipping) is required before your order is placed. Please place your order by June 10th to ensure prompt delivery. Orders placed after June 10th may incur delays in processing.

Cap and Gown Information

Thursday, April 29th – Lunch Hours -- Cap and Gown Distribution

WHO: Herff Jones will be distributing PAID orders to all seniors and parents

WHERE: LaPorte High School Commons

TIME: Lunch Hours and after school until 4:30

For anyone that has not ordered a cap and gown and would like to do so, this link will take you to the Herff Jones website.

Learn Today to Excel Tomorrow Ceremony (Formerly Pride Banquet)

The Learn Today to Excel Tomorrow ceremony will be held at the LPHS cafeteria on Monday, May 24th. Due to COVID restrictions we will not serve a meal this year. Information was shared with the students in the top 10%. Congratulations for your dedication to your academics!

Ready2Work Job Fair

The Ready2Work Job Fair on April 22nd was well received by our local business representatives and students. The event is tied to the LEAP Hiring Fair at the Civic on May 26th from 3:00-6:00 p.m. Please encourage our seniors that require employment to gather a resume and dress for success for that opportunity. My thanks to Mrs. Schafer for her help with running the event. Mayor Dermody was in attendance as well!

Powder Puff Football Game

Our Powder Puff football game, featuring our female juniors v. seniors, will take place on Friday, May 14th at 6:30 p.m. at Kiwanis Stadium. Parents and students are welcome.

Indiana State Police Cyber Bullying Presentation

On May 11th the Indiana State Police are presenting a program on Cyber Bullying. The program will be available for students at 1:50 via Zoom. They are also presenting in person at 6:00 in the Performing Arts Center for parents and community members.

Have a Happy Memorial Day on Monday, May 31st. We will not have school that day to honor those that have served our country.

IMEA Honor Concert Band

The LPHS Music Department is excited to announce that seniors Raul Mejia Palma and Cameron Tucker were selected for the 2021 Indiana Music Educators Association (IMEA) Honor Concert Band. Raul plays trumpet and Cameron the tuba.

This ensemble will perform at the Palladium in Carmel, IN on 5/22 and is made up of students from the entire state. Their trip is funded through a donation from the La Porte Music Club. We are excited to hear them perform in May!

Athletic Booster Club Golf Outing - Forms due by June 21st!

Prom will be held at the Civic on Saturday, May 8th from 8:00-11:00 p.m. The deadline to purchase tickets for $40 is Wednesday, May 5th. Prom is open to all LPHS seniors and juniors. LPHS sophomores may attend if invited. All participants must get an application and adhere to the PPE guidelines. We are very excited we are able to offer Prom this year!
