First Kids … Where God’s Kids Come First!
It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas at First Kids!
We are so excited about December! This month’s theme, of course, is the Birth of Jesus! Our shape is the triangle and our number of the month is FOUR.
A few important dates for the month:
Christmas gift exchange due: Dec. 15
Christmas Musical at First UMC: Dec. 13 @ 10 am (DROP OFF AT 9:30 AT CLASSROOOM)
Christmas party: Dec. 17
Wear GREEN: Dec. 15-17
- PLEASE bring a jacket and hat – it’s cold here in the mornings.
- NO Mother’s Day Out Dec 21-Jan 4. See you all Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2016!
Please bring fruit (bananas or oranges), cheese or a bag of pretzels for snack, if you are able!
Please bring your December tuition of $130 or $165 this week (unless you’ve already paid).
Our color of the month is Green. Please dress your First Kid in as much brown as possible the last few days week of school. This can be shirts, shorts, bows and even hats! Be creative when helping your First Kid wear our color of the month.
We’re planning a snack-time, Christmas Party for Thursday, Dec. 17. (A flyer went home with your party assignments. If you forget, it's on our classroom doors.)
Please join us this month for several First UMC Advent Worship Services!
No cooties here! :)
As we approach cold and flu season, please remember First Kid’s Illness policy:
For the welfare of all children, any child who is sick needs to be kept at home. If your child runs a fever, they should be fever-free without medication for 24 hours before returning to school. If your child has been vomiting during the night or early morning, he should not come to school.
Your child should not attend school if he/she:
- has a fever of 100 degrees or over.
- has diarrhea or more than two loose stools during the day.
- has symptoms of a communicable disease.
- has a sore throat or constant cough.
- has a thick, discolored nasal mucus.
- has pinkeye.
- has any contagious skin condition.
- is vomiting.
- is unable to participate in the program.
If a child is not well enough to remain at school, a parent or someone listed on the release form will be contacted. Please make arrangements in case of an emergency. Please notify the school if your child has a contagious illness so we can notify other parents.
