World Teachers Day

They do so much for us, why don't we do something for them?

Why it should become a national holiday

World Teachers Day has been held annually on October 5 since 1994. It commemerates teachers worldwide for all the things they do for development and education. They spend every school day teaching students and trying to give them a good education, and then stay at school after the students have left, grading papers or preparing for the next day. Even on weekends, teachers might be planning things for the week or grading papers. On Teacher Work days, students stay at home while teachers work. Overall, World Teachers Day should become a national holiday because of all the things they do for students and education.
