Charity Water

Why It All started
Charity: Water is a non-profit organization bringing clean and safe drinking water to people in developing nations. Founded in 2006, it has helped fund 6,611 projects in 20 countries, benefiting over 2,545,000 people. Charity Water goal is to fund water projects around the globe so everyone, everywhere has access to clean water. As like Margaret Catley-Carlson, the Vice-Chair, from World Economic Forum said-
“Water is an astonishingly complex and subtle force in an economy. It is the single constraint on the expansion of every city, and bankers and corporate executives have cited it as the only natural limit to economic growth.”
What They Do:
We’re a non-profit organization on a mission to bring clean drinking water to every person on the planet. Thanks to your help, we’ve funded 13,641 water projects in 22 countries. Charity Water works to make sustainable, community-owned water projects around the world. Everyone deserves water in their lives and Charity Water makes sure that people get it.
Why Water?
Diseases from unsafe water and lack of basic sanitation kills more people every year than any form of violence, including war. Children are extreamly in risk as their bodies aren't strong enough to fight diarrhea, dysentery and other illnesses.
In Australia
Though this organisation is only in America, Paull Yong is working in changing this fact.He beleives that after the progress Charity Water has made in New York, why not start in Australia? He says that as an Aussie, he thinks that Australia should have Charity Water as one of their charities. After all the more the merrier, and also noticing the fact that if there actually was another Charity Water organisation there will be more money going to water projects and funds.
