Butler Elementary Summer Updates

Summertime @ Butler

I am sure everyone is anticipating and looking forward to the new 22-23 school year! Everyone on our Butler staff surely is, as well! Whether your student is a new Kindergartener, entering our hallways as Butler Bears for the first time -or- a seasoned 6th Grader - We are so eager with anticipation in seeing the children come late August! The summer months have been spent preparing our school for the coming year. Mr. Sutton, Mr. Gallagher and the summer custodial crew have taken this as their opportunity to ready and prepare the classrooms and hallways with that beautiful "first day shine!" Our office team - Ms. Bernabei and Mrs. Droxler - have been keeping our programs updated and focused as we prepare for teachers and students. Dr. Doherty and I are still completing hiring needs and anticipating the exciting start to the school year with staff trainings and student preparations! We really are looking forward to a great beginning to our year focused and ready for school!

The National Association of Elementary School Principals organization published “The Rewards of Reading,” offering families ideas and strategies to get kids reading more at home.

"The seeds for success in the classroom are sown at home. Encouraging children to read at home is one of the most powerful ways that parents can support students’ learning.
