Message From The Superintendent

Zion Elementary School District 6 is aware of an incident that occurred Tuesday evening at Zion-Benton Township High School.

Following the incident yesterday evening, Zion-Benton Township High School stated, “Please be aware that an incident took place in the ZBTHS parking lot this evening. There is no immediate threat and no injuries were reported. We are currently working with appropriate authorities as the safety of all participants is our top priority.”

ZESD 6 has been in direct contact with the Zion Police Department and confirmed, currently there is no threat to our students and staff. ZESD 6 takes all acts of violence very seriously. The Administration and Security Teams are working with all schools to ensure the appropriate student support is available to our students and staff.

El Distrito Escolar Primario Zion 6 está al tanto de un incidente que ocurrió anoche en la Escuela Secundaria Zion-Benton Township.

La Escuela Secundaria Zion-Benton Township público el lunes 31 de enero de 2023 lo siguiente: "Tenga en cuenta que este incidente tuvo lugar en el estacionamiento de ZBTHS esta noche. ZESD 6 ha estado en contacto directo con el Departamento de Policía de Zion y confirmó que actualmente no hay amenaza para nuestros estudiantes y personal. ZESD 6 toma muy en serio todos los actos de violencia. Los Equipos de Administración y Seguridad está trabajando con todas las escuelas para garantizar que el apoyo estudiantil adecuado esté disponible para nuestros estudiantes y personal.
