Newsletter Week 6 Term 4
Turua School 24th Novemberr 2022
PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
Let's hope the weather clears up for next week as we intend to host our Wearable Arts out on the back courts. The students are asked to be back at their classrooms by 5.30pm on Thursday night with the show starting at 6.00pm. The PTA will be selling American Hot Dogs and drinks both prior to the show and once the show is completed. If the night is wet we will have to hold it in the school hall.
Room 2 is still looking for black and red feathers if anyone has them at home .
Room 4 is looking for some large cardboard, ribbon, old fabric, pipe cleaners and some yarn.
A big thank you to Mel and James for hosting the BOT, Staff and PTA dinner last night. A relaxing night with lots of Christmas cheer!

Garden to Table
Looking back on all we have done together this year we are pleased to say we achieved our goals. The garden is flourishing and expanding, the kitchen has some new tools and storage, but most importantly our tamariki have worked hard to build their skills and challenge themselves. We hope that they have been sharing their knowledge at home.
We bid farewell and thank our year 8 students for their time with us. We know that the skills you have learnt in the garden and kitchen have set you up, and maybe even inspired you down a career path. Good luck to you all for the future.

Donated Sports Balls
Turua School has been gifted a generous donation of Sports Balls through the Tania Dalton Foundation. These are going to be put to great use!
Tania Dalton Foundation is delighted to join Rebel Sport and Silver Fern in delivering the Pass It Forward campaign. We all share a belief that every kid deserves the chance to play sport. The Pass It Forward campaign hopes to remove one of the barriers to participation by providing a ball to those in need. So for every Pass It Forward ball produced by Silver Fern and sold through Rebel Sport, an identical ball will be donated to a deserving Kiwi club or school.TERM DATES FOR 2023
