Straight from the Hardt
Hello Ridgeline Families—
As our newsletter continues to grow each week it makes me proud to see how many opportunities are available to our students. We had this cautionary feeling that we wouldn’t be able to have as many clubs, events, and activities in our first year—but we have accelerated our timeline and great things are happening. Again, a testament to the commitment from our staff to go the extra mile for kids. Looking toward the future-- additional course offerings, programs, and activities will be added. Remember, we will be re-inventing ourselves again next year. We are about 930 students in grades 9-11. When students move up, of course we’ll have our first year with seniors, and all that goes along with that. In addition, we’ll be adding another 350+ freshman to our total population pushing us closer to 1300 students in 2022-23! That kind of growth ‘overnight’ will definitely be noticed. We’ll also be adding approximately 12-14 new teachers to accommodate this growth. We still have some empty classrooms, which will nearly all be filled at that point. We will continue to build a TEAM around people who understand the power of relationships necessary to cultivate a safe and welcoming learning environment which will lead to higher achievement for all our students. Make it a great weekend! --Mr. Hardt

COMMUNITY MEMBERS WELCOME!

Hello Falcon Families!!
I hope you all received you store orders ok and love your items!! If not, please call the 1-800 number on your order form and call customer service. They are very responsive and will be able to help you resolve your issue.
Our holiday fundraising store is open!! There are some new items and you may find a gift or two for that special Falcon on your gift list!!
Please note this store will close 11/8/21. I know it was only open for a week, but we needed to do that in order to get items back in time for the holidays.
Our next Booster meeting is Tuesday, 11/9/21, 6:30 at the Liberty Lake Portal, 23403 E. Mission. We will be meeting upstairs. Please join us and share your ideas for fundraising! We would like to plan an event that will raise funds, include everyone, and involve the community as best we can! A few people volunteered to be part of a fundraising committee earlier this year and I am hoping they are still willing to help and that this committee can grow!!
We will also be needing volunteers for concessions for winter sports!! Please consider joining in on the fun!!
Thank you,
Trina Richardson

Envolve Leadership Training
Scott Backovich the founder of Envolve came to train our Falcons who lead in our school, on the field, on the court, and in their ensembles. Student's were recommended by their teacher or coach to attend this amazing training session. The goal of this training was to help our students build an amazing culture here at Ridgeline. We are all in this together.
Looking to the Future
Our awesome Falcon Link Crew Leaders guided our freshmen through a lesson titled "Looking to the Future" on Friday, October 29th. It was a chance for the 9th graders to set some short term and long terms goals to increase their success with the transition to high school. It also gave our leaders a chance to practice their leadership skills. Thank you Falcon Link Crew and Class of 2025!
Mrs. Carla Peperzak as our first-ever guest in the new Falcon Theatre
On Wednesday, Ridgeline had the pleasure of hosting Mrs. Carla Peperzak as our first-ever guest in the new Falcon Theatre. Mrs. Peperzak was a Dutch Resistance Operative working to defeat the Nazi reign of terror during World War Two. Just a few days shy of turning 98, Mrs. Peperzak shared the riveting story of her time growing up in the Netherlands, and how she risked her life as a teenager to hide Jewish friends, forge identification papers, and distribute an underground newspaper for the Allied Forces. Mrs. Peperzak closed her time by answering student questions and urged all of us to respect one another, and to carry the torch by continuing to educate ourselves about the horrors Holocaust. It was truly an honor to hear her speak.
