Weekly Update 04.02.2020
Keeping connected during the COVID-19 school closure
The First Three Days
The first three days of our official Continuity of Education Plan are complete and the connections between students and staff have had during these days have added significant positives to the week. The more regular connections with students and supporting their learning has filled a huge void. As educators, students are at the center of what we do. Even if social distancing forces us to be out of our school buildings, it can not interrupt our caring and support for our students!
I also recognize that our current situation is less than our ideal vision for education and we are working through bumps of various sizes. As a school team, we continue to adjust and improve. Our students matter greatly to us and we are working on our virtual instruction and our use of Seesaw.
We greatly appreciate your understanding of this. And we welcome your feedback related to the experience of your child(ren).
Please enjoy the fun pictures and the valuable information in this week’s newsletter!
Kindly,
-Adam

From the Counseling Office:
Hello Trumbauersville families!
As we continue to navigate this new virtual world, please reach out to me with any issues or concerns either through email or seesaw (I am a co-teacher in all classes). I am here to support your family and children during this difficult time. Although our future learning is optional, I would encourage your children to stay connected, as keeping some sense of normalcy, routine and sense of community will be extremely helpful for all of us as we move forward. I know for me personally, seeing the students’ posts, pictures, & videos on seesaw is making me so happy!
Don't forget to take care of yourselves as well during this stressful time! Attached is a resource from Childmind.org with some tips for "self-care in the time of the coronavirus".
Again, please do not hesitate to reach out to me and I will do my best to help in any way that I can. Stay safe, calm and healthy!
